ABOUT THE iBOOK
To set the stage, the iBook opens up with an imaginative 3D animated introduction about kids who have their computers hacked and then it's fun reading and a STEM interactive learning experience from there to the final chapter.
The kids have been working on a top secret project that will slow the aging process for grandparents. Billy discovers their computers have been hacked by an evil cypher-villain named, Vincent LAN Goat (VLG). He demands a hefty ransom in Bitcoins in exchange for unlocking their files. The kids call Uncle PoleCat and he and Snake track down the infamous goat to a mysterious volcanic island called Skullcano.
The two heroes fall into a booby-trap and become prisoners of Vincent. He vows to digitize PoleCat and Snake and distribute their bits across the internet, unless his demand of 100,000 Bitcoins is met by noon the next day! The only way to free them is for the reader to beat Vincent LAN Goat’s 3 problem-solving video games and decipher the encryption key (using a reading comprehension reading game). Otherwise, PoleCat and Snake will be scattered across the World Wide Web, forever!
Your reader becomes a part of the interactive story and each STEM word and experience is explained in a very age-appropriate, custom edited glossary. The best part is, the reader has to save the heroes by playing imaginative videos and problem-solving games along the journey that help foster reading comprehension, the importance of computer security, cultural diversity and teamwork.
